Stephanie sighed, looking around a bit before leaning back in her seat. She was out of class, having made a trip to JFK to wait. Bucky had written her, letting her know he would be coming home early and since then she'd been counting the days, waiting for her best friend to get back from the army.

She was nervous. They hadn't seen one another since he'd enlisted at 18. She was 23 now and she knew she looked a lot different. Gone was the gangly, scrawny teen girl that no one ever glanced at twice. No, Stephanie had grown at least a few inches, putting her at 5'6 (still short), but she'd definitely filled out in all the ways that mattered.

Course, she'd finally presented as well. The doctors had all said because of her health problems growing up that she would likely never present. She would go through life as a Null. Not even considered a beta. But on her 21st birthday something had changed. She'd felt sick at first and that had turned into her first heat. She stood up when she heard the announcement for Bucky's plane, running to the head of the terminal to wait for him.

She smiled at that, blushing before laying her head on his shoulder. "Oh um...should be here in about 30 minutes or so? Why don't we go ahead and throw some of your laundry in then?" She asked, pecking his lips before moving to get up. "Come on. We'll do that real quick."

Bucky grabs his bag and follows her down the hall to the little laundry closet. He lets her separate his clothes and toss them in. He adds detergent and then sets the wash, kissing her softly when he's done. "I need to call my Ma and let her know I'm home. That way I can also tell her I'll see her once your heat is over and she doesn't worry."

She slipped her arms around his neck at the kiss, leaning back against the machine as she pulled him into another one. "Call her so she won't worry. Tell her I said hi." She murmured, bumping their noses together.

Bucky smiles and kisses her once more before disappearing into the bedroom to call his family. His mom was ecstatic that he was home safe and now out of the military forever. She knew already about his arm, and she was worried of course, but he promised to come see her once Stephanie was better. Winnie wished them a happy heat and told her they both better come around afterwards so they can start planning the celebrations for him and for them. Since well, Bucky asked for his Gran's ring so he could ask Stephanie to marry him. Post Heat of course....best to wait until brains were not addled by desire.

Stephanie just waited for him, letting him have a little bit of privacy as she shifted on the couch after sitting down. She stretched out, letting her arms stretch out above her head which made her shirt expose her stomach a bit. She closed her eyes, just waiting and humming softly to herself. She knew her scent was getting stronger and she squirmed just a bit.

There was a knock at the door just as Bucky was coming back in, he went to the door as Steph's scent would likely affect whoever was on the other side of it. He thanked the kind beta who was carrying their food and groceries and was polite enough to not comment on the smell if they could smell it at all. He closed the door and locked it, placed two scent blockers packets (Think bakingsoda boxes like you put in the fridge...something I thought of lol..we can ignore it if you want) and carried the bag of food to the coffee table.

"Can you help put the groceries away, then we can eat and maybe...have some fun before your heat gets fully involved."

"Yeah I can do that." She got up, slipping over to him and kissing his shoulder. Then she grabbed the bags, carrying them into the kitchen. A few things went into her bedroom as well, but she got everything organized fairly quickly before making her way to the living room again. She went through the food, humming before looking over at him and patting the couch next to her.

"Promise I'm not gonna bite." She said quietly, tilting her head.
