For the third time in ages Johnny found himself wishing he wasn't the man he had become. Wished he wasn't the monster that so many thought him to be. To be just a man, to be that carefree soul that could love her like Stephanie deserved to be loved...it tore through his heart that he couldn't give her that life. Even the angel felt remorse for what could never be undone, but while both sides of him desired to give her that world when the Rider was present nothing else called to it other than that primal need to punish the wicked.
Apart both man and angel were of a like mind, yet when the power merged and the Rider was there that ancient calling would not be swayed. Still the feel of her touch was enough to soothe his own ache, and after savoring her kiss Johnny whispered to her. "We could never forget you, never stop loving you." The feeling of her skins against his skin stirred his body yet Blaze remained where he was. Arm pulling her just a little closer as his own fingers moved to dance along her spine. "I'm here now."
